Verstovšek Estate Rosé is grown on the slopes of the Pišeca Valley in the Bizeljsko-Sremic wine-growing region. The 'Marof' vineyard is located on the south-west side of the slope at an altitude of 230 metres above sea level and is part of the Kozjansko Regional Park, one of the oldest and largest protected areas in Slovenia with a rich biodiversity that also enriches all the wines of the Verstovšek Estate.
The loamy clay soil with high water retention capacity creates excellent conditions for a rich Rosé with a pleasant freshness.
The production and ageing process of the Verstovšek Estate Rosé is characterised by care and dedication in every detail, sustainable viticulture with deep respect for nature and precision oenology with modern equipment. The hand-picked grapes of Modra Frankinja were cooled to 10 °C overnight, gently destemmed and pressed in an inert atmosphere. This was followed by alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks and maturation for 6 months on the fine lees.
